Why do my prints look grey

Printer HP Deskjet print in purple instead of black. I just changed the ink on my HP Deskjet printer cartridges and now it started printing everything in purple. Before changing the cartridge, the colors were very good. I tried the contact on the cleaning cartridges and that did not help. There is no error message. I tried to put the old black cartridge in to test it, and even though it was really faded, it was printing in black. Color ink seems to work very well I printed a test page and the colors are out.

I also tried to print that a document without any ink color in and a blank page came out. The problem must be something to do with the black ink cartridge, but I don't know what it is or what to do! This cartridge is defective. You have to buy another cartridge installed in the printer. Let me know what you find? Prints blue instead of black. I have a HP Photosmart B, more. My black text and pictures print light blue instead of black.

I replaced the cartridge twice and I always feel the same question. I cleaned the print heads several times. Also in the grayscale option choose black ink only. Printer prints red instead of black. I have an Epsom C88 printer and have. I changed my black cartridge and that made no difference. You could ask the support of Epson for a definitive answer, but I saw a suggestion that this behavior can be caused by a blocked ink purge tube.

See the next page. And this page for the cleaning solution. HP Officejet Print gray instead of black. My HP Officejet works well for about a year until today, where he began to print light gray instead of black.

Used to work out of the area to print. I exchanged the inktank black for a new, but that did not help either one. The gray looks perfect gray and not a faded defective, black dryness. I tried to change the output of color mode in the settings of the printer to the only black than gray, and the printer does not print the necessary ink at all. Is this a software problem?

Or printer hardware problem? I tried printing from my laptop and had the same problem. Problem solved. I got my printer to my friend who has a Windows PC and a test print looked fine.

I thought it must be a Linux question then. I have connected my printer to my PC Ubuntu again, and for the hell of it, I tried to print a test page and go figure, it worked.

Maybe unplug the printer helped solve the problem? BTW, when I meet my problem, the printer was not actually printing gray instead of black by mixing the inktanks color. I discovered that she did not use the black tank at all. I'm glad that everything works again without having to really fix anything. So if anyone else has this problem, try disconnecting the printer, and then try again. That could be the solution. Turn off the PC one on or the printer doesn't help.

Josh Ginter February 20, Sumona Chatterjee February 25, Christine November 23, Or I mixed my developer wrong? I don't think so I'm not to sure but I really could use some help. I have no background in prints but three things come to mind. First, is your fixer good and did you fix the print long enough?

Second, try to develop and fix a clean sheet of paper. It should come out bright white. If it is fogged it probably means the paper is bad or some light got to it. Third, is your safelight working properly? Looks a bit like the paper is fogged- by stray light perhaps as you were taking it out of the box. All work should really be done under a red light, and even that at least a yard away from the paper; another thing you might be doing is checking the development under a red light too soon after putting the paper in the tray.

Pulling a print before a reasonable time won't lead to a result you want. It is very difficult to offer any sensible advice however with so many variables! Good Luck. Try developing and fixing a sheet in total darkness that hasn't been exposed at all with your enlarger.
